Our general dentist, Dr. David Geiger and dental specialist, Dr. Patel, work together to provide their patients with the gold standard in dental care. They don't always work chair-side together, but they always discuss the best treatment plan available for their patients, review radio-graphs together, and determine what is the best course of action for each individual patient. General Dentistry
After completing their undergraduate education, all general dentists have successfully completed four years at an accredited dental school. In addition, they have fulfilled the requirements (including testing and continuing education) of state licensing boards. Some dentists have the initials DMD (Doctor of Dental Medicine) following their names, while others have DDS (Doctor of Dental Surgery). Dr. Shoba is a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS). The only difference between the two is the title used on their dental school’s degrees; their education and training is exactly the same. At Ladd Dental Group of McCordsville, our office is personalized to deliver exceptional dental care to keep you healthy and smiling. Because we care about your well-being, Dr. Shoba recommends regular dental checkups minimally every six months to create long-lasting dental health. 
Preventive Dental services: These help you maintain good oral health by stopping disease before it takes hold in your mouth. Regular exams (including diagnostic images such as x-rays) and professional teeth cleanings are a cornerstone of prevention. Your general dentist may give you detailed instructions to improve your at-home oral hygiene, and may also recommend preventive treatments such as sealants, if needed. And if you lead an active lifestyle, you can be fitted with a custom-made mouthguard at your dentist’s office.
Restorative  Dental Services: When a problem is found, your dentist will ensure you get timely and appropriate treatment. Probably the most common (and highly effective) dental restoration involves removing tooth decay and placing a filling in the affected tooth. Check Ups & Cleanings: Dental checkup and cleanings are provided by a hygienist or dentist clean your teeth and create a unique treatment plan based on your dental needs. This distinctive treatment plan allows our team to understand what we need to do for you to leave a healthy dental patient. 
Fillings: At times teeth need to have a filling because a tooth has been worn down, cracked or even breaks. What you do after discovering you have a cavity will go a long way in saving the tooth and preventing any further damage.
Dental Crowns: A dental crown is a tooth shaped cover that the general dentist places over a tooth to restore its original shape and appearance after a root canal or injury. Dental Bridges: To replace a missing tooth, a general dentist often recommends dental bridge work. The dental bridge closes the gap, restores your natural mouth function and improves your appearance.
Extractions: Preserving all the teeth in your mouth is our goal because they are essential for speaking, eating, and your overall facial structure. There are times when something happens to a tooth that can’t be saved and a tooth needs to be removed. A dental extraction is easily defined as the removal of a tooth. Dr. Shoba and team will take care of you at each step of the appointment before you arrive, during and once the appointment is finished. We want you to feel comfortable throughout the entire appointment.
Periodontal Care: Periodontal Therapy is the process of cleaning around the teeth and gums removing buildup from the surface of a tooth, and the removal of infection / debris from the tooth’s root. This procedure not only will help ensure the gum disease is being controlled, but it is also one of the most non-evasive ways to treat gum disease. 
Dentures & Dental Related Services: At Ladd Dental's general dentistry practice, Dr. Shoba wants all of her patients to be comfortable and happy with their appearance. So, often she creates natural-looking dentures when numerous teeth are missing.
